Mike and Jo Eaton have, in a very short space of time, created a real stir in New Zealand with their amazing wines. Mike’s extensive background in planting some of the most important vineyards in the district led him and Jo to search for the perfect hillside site for their own project.
In 1998 12 hectares were purchased and to date 3.2 are planted with further plantings due over the forthcoming years. Mike Weersing, a genius who has cut his teeth in with Domaine de la Pousse d’Or, Nicolas Potel, de Montille, Marcel Deiss, Kreydenweiss and Bonny Doon and more recently with Neudorf, has further strengthened the winemaking.
